days + hazy thrift

Starting in 2018, a friend and I created and managed a thrift and vintage brand on Instagram that we branded as days + hazy thrift. We started our brand from scratch, navigated inventory collection, content creation, and styling, and even attended a few markets. As we grew, we collaborated with photographers, and we even partnered with an artist who painted her designs on a couple of our thrifted finds.

During my time with days + hazy thrift, I was in charge of social media and brand management. I planned our weekly content and engaged with our target demographic and followers. This was my first dip into social media, marketing and brand management, and it’s safe to say I was hooked. The creation of days + hazy thrift was where I started to realize my passion for the communication field as a whole, and this marked the turning point in my education, where it all started to make sense.

We navigated our way through, reaching audiences across Canada. We had many customers from Ontario and Alberta, alongside our more local following in Victoria and Vancouver.

This demonstrates my experience with brand management and social media, building my first brand from the ground up. Not only were we able to create an engaging and cohesive feed that grew to reach over a thousand followers in just over a year, but we also worked with photographers, collaborated with local businesses and created a following that shared our goals of reviving thrifted finds.
